Congratulations on getting back to running! I know how good I feel when I accomplish a physical goal and imagine it must be the same for you. I also loved your “thigh gap” story. A recent wow moment for me occurred this past week when I was on vacation with the family. We were basically in swimsuits all day and my thighs never rubbed and I felt totally at ease; a feeling I’ve NEVER had in a swimsuit. I love when those moments happen because they go a long way to helping me remember that I have lost weight and I’m not the overweight, unhealthy person that I used to be. I still need those reminders because now that I’m in maintenance and not seeing the numbers on the scale going down, I’ll have those times when I feel “fat.” Thanks for the video and the opportunity to comment!

Edie–thanks for sharing so sweetly your vacation story. YES…you’re in a new body and I’m thrilled for the joy it brings you. Awesome about the way you feel in your swimsuit. You know I get it. It’s beyond words…it’s dreamy…it’s so different from other times on vacation. I have been on the west coast at the edge of the Pacific Ocean one time!!, on a beautiful sandy beach…in baggy stretchy black pants and an oversized shirt. Oh boy, those pictures are quite sad. Isn’t this new life the best?! Finally the outside matches the joy and positivity we felt on the inside! Congrats on all your successes!!

Amy!!! Boy have I missed seeing your face and twinkling eyes! I knew you had a lot on the plate with John moving closer and spending more quality time with family, but as the saying goes “You’re a sight for sore eyes” 😘
Remember when I posted on Patreon about NSV (non scale victories)? After my weight loss surgery I was on a forum on Fitness Pal for people who’d had Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy and after the first year the huge weight loss would come to a sputter and people would get discouraged. So there was a section of the forum for NSV. Two of them from ten years ago come to mind. Being able to wrap a regular sized bath towel after a shower and actually be covered and tuck in! The other one was parking at the mall. I used to have to walk sideways between cars if they were parked close. Realizing I could just walk straight thru! Your thigh gap one is a great one! So was your crossing your legs at the airport and looking down at your thighs in amazement!
So proud of you jogging for 30 minutes that’s a huge deal!
Thanks for such a great video! Are you still planning on doing the Power balls? And filming in your bedroom with the balls lined up in the frames?
Hugs,
Shea

Shea! John whisked me away to Gatlinburg last week and while we were there I saw your comment. My heart was bursting 🙂 I have missed you too! Yes, probably a lot has happened for both of us, but truly I bet most things are the same. We’re still doing our thing, keeping a good attitude, and doing our best to stay healthy and feel great! Oh my goodness, your non scale victories were awesome! Ha ha, wrapping a bath towel around you. Yes, what a wonderful feeling 🙂 And I loved when you shared that you didn’t have to walk sideways between cars anymore. You have worked so hard to get where you are! Speaking of the airport, I wake up at 3 AM in the morning and head off to Jamaica for the annual mission trip. I’ve gone every year since 2009. I just can’t not go and they’ve become like family to me! Good question about the bedroom. I worked so hard to set it up but I think my personality likes to be down on the main floor with lots of open windows 🙂 Whether I hold up the ping-pong balls of success again or not… I will always remember that you have great ideas and you named it the Powerball Of Success 🙂 Keep shining bright and I can’t wait to see what’s next for our future! Have a great Wednesday night!
